Only 90 miles to the north of San Diego and 35 miles to the south of Los Angeles, Huntington is widely acclaimed as California’s cleanest, safest, and wildest beach town. The residents of HB can do excellent surfing all year round owing to the city’s mild climate, sandy beaches, and legendary sun.

Huntington Beach takes its name after Henry E. Huntington, an American businessman. Originally occupied by the native Tongva people, HB is now a vibrant city of 189,992 people according to the 2010 census. The first European settlements in Huntington were started by a Spanish soldier Manuel Nieto in 1794.

HB is among the top five destinations for teenagers and their parents, says the New York Post (2004).
