Orange County CA Real Estate and Living

Orange County is located in Southern California. It currently has a population in excess of 3 million people, which makes it the sixth largest county in the United States and third in California. The county includes many affluent cities, including Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, and Huntington Beach.

The city is located just south of Los Angeles County and sits adjacent to the Pacific Ocean. This provides a resident with immediate access to a number of different public beaches, state parks, and other outdoor recreational options. Orange County is also well known for being the home to Disneyland, professional sports teams, and a number of outdoor concert venues.

For those that are looking for quality education, Orange County is a top option. Overall, there are 30 different cities that make up Orange County. Many of these cities, including Orange and Mission Viejo, have school districts that rank among the top in the country in terms of funding per pupil and student teach ratios.

Another advantage of Orange County is its strong local economy. The city benefits significantly from the level of tourism in the county. The city of Anaheim, which is the home of the Los Angeles Angels and Disneyland, is one of the most visited cities in the country. Beyond tourism, the county is home to several major corporations including Ingram Micro, Pacific Life, and Broadcom. Due to the close proximity to Los Angeles, the city is also a popular place to live for people that commute into the city.
